At Good Mournings, we specialize in planning and hosting in-home celebrations of life, living wakes, and memorial gatherings that honour loved ones with authenticity and care. This approach emerged in response to the complexities of arranging services amid grief, and from a sincere desire to ease that burden with compassion and care.
We provide full-service planning and coordination, including catering, décor, and vendor collaboration, to ensure every detail reflects the unique personality and wishes of each individual and family. We proudly partner with local vendors such as Terramor Farm, Beignets de Shima and Sparrow Floral to create beautiful, thoughtful, and locally rooted experiences.
We are dedicated to curating meaningful experiences that bring comfort, connection, and a sense of peace during a deeply personal time.

In Home Celebrations of life
We gently create intimate, thoughtfully guided celebrations of life within the comfort of home, including specialized catering and decore to support a seamless experience. Our approach is rooted in care and connection, offering families and friends a warm, familiar space to gather, share memories, and honour each life with tenderness and intention.
Living Wakes
We work directly with individuals who wish to gather their loved ones for a celebration while they are still present, creating intentional and deeply personal experiences. With care and respect, we support the planning of tribute displays and gentle ceremonies that reflect their story, presence, and life lived.
Specialty Services
Our specialty services are thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and practical support during a tender time. We provide compassionate assistance with catering, house cleaning and organizing, as well as support with after-life paperwork and necessary arrangements so families and loved ones are not left managing these details while navigating grief. Our goal is to create a sense of ease and care, allowing space for rest, remembrance, and connection.
End of Life Doula
Non medical emotional and compassionate care is provided by our in house End of Life Doula. Holistic support and resource services can be received in home or in a medical setting for individuals facing end of life and their families. We specialize in legacy projects and advanced care planning to create a space for comfort, communication and peace.
